I haven’t bought clothes in ages. It’s true. Painful, but true.
I got married last year, blew lots of money with my life partner, quit my job, our country fell into a recession, we moved to L.A., I got a job working in retail, and I’m a freelance writer who manages my own blog. Do I really need to say more?
Shopping for new clothes doesn’t really fit into my life scenario at the moment.
But every once in a while you need to treat yourself. Because sometimes you see something so perfect, it’s okay to indulge just a little — especially when the company you purchase from stands for something positive.
I love that this little girl painted on the shirt has all these choices regarding how she’ll present herself to the world today.
But what I really love is how this shirt reminds me that we all have choices to make about who we are, who we will become, and how we can do our own little part to help make the world a better place right now.
I love Jedidiah’s vintage-inspired, soft-cotton clothing, and hand-painted designs. But what I love even more than the aesthetic is their mission. Jedidiah’s HOPE collection donates money to homeless children in the U.S., children in war-torn regions of Uganda, and to children who are severely handicap. The shirt from this post isn’t from the HOPE collection (it’s just so cute I had to blog about it) but by supporting the company with any purchase, you’re helping to generate revenue, which helps the artists continue to create inspirational designs, and more shirts for a very worthy cause: helping children.
