While my mom and baby BIL were visiting us, her cousin took all of us out for halal Chinese food in Rosemead, which is about a 45-minute drive from where we live. The food was AMAZING and it was legit. As in, they had real Chinese chefs there. And no, that’s not racist, it’s just that most Chinese restaurants that I’ve been to on the east coast are good but it’s always fusion food. We ordered about five dishes, one of which was vegetarian, and a soup, and every dish had a very distinct flavor, which was brilliant considering when you’re working with such strong flavors, sometimes they tend to blend together.

I went to a Halal Chinese restaurant when we visited Canada a couple of years ago. Best food ever and I finally got to eat meat in a chinese restaurant instead of just the vegetarian option!

ohhhhhh there is another brill resturaunt, not chinese, but so so good food and prices, its halal, and also a pizzaria, and mediteranean food (arab , italian, ect)…
