CAN I GET a A-MEN?
Learning How to Pray
By, Sabrina Enayatulla
Of Note: Well, I guess it’s not really by me, considering this whole thing was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the heavens by God, which is not like, the Heaven because that’s called Paradise, but the heavens as in “the skies,” which people often refer to as the heavens. Point is, I wrote the one you’re about to read, so that’s why I slapped my byline on it.
I’m no scholar (though I sometimes do find it hard to contain my own genius) so you won’t find the really deep stuff here. This is where you’ll find the basics. I don’t know too much about Islamic jurisprudence, I read Arabic the way a 3 year old reads a Dr. Seuss book, and I haven’t memorized every chapter of the Qur’an — hopefully some day. This is a basic guide for anyone who wants to learn how to pray, to better understand what they already know how to do, or for anyone who ever saw a Muslim praying, and was all, “Dude, what is THAT?”
It took me 16 hours to put this whole thing together, but I promise you, it won’t take that long to read it — unless you read like a 3 year old.
