I found this idea for party thank-yous (filled with candy) at Make It & Love It and immediately called Little BFF’s mom to ask if she’d make a few dozen for me to hand out as party favors at my baby shower in New York over the summer. They’re such a great alternative to standard party favors and you can even use them in place of loot bags at birthday parties. Although, let’s be real, WHO DOESN’T LOVE A LOOT BAG?
I love how these have a sort of retro-modern feel to them, which you can really play with depending on the type of paper and font you use.
The tutorial can feel a little intimidating if you don’t have all the fancy tools that Ashley has, but you can always improvise! My cousin used a roll of brown paper, standard scissors to cut circles, a black calligraphy marker to write the thank-you message and her sewing machine to seal off the edges.
We filled our favors with Jelly Belly jelly beans because they don’t use animal gelatin, and because j-beans are an all-around crowd pleaser, but you can fill your favors with whatever candy tickles your taste buds.
