Realigned

Lately our To-Do list has been feeling a lot like Mary Poppins’ weekender. Just when we feel like the bag has been emptied we’re presented with a slew of new items to tend to, some more urgent than others.
Yesterday The Boss and I drove up toward the mountains and had a chance to spend the whole day together. We were chatting when my love looked out the window and drew my attention to the beauty around us. We’d gotten snow this week and it was set perfectly atop the mountains and limbs of trees. A foggy haze enveloped the sky and frost rested gently on the water’s surface.
We were suddenly so small in the universe, forgetting our chatter and quietly breathing in the magnificence around us. It was a moment that interrupted life and we welcomed it. Scrambled thoughts were put on pause and I felt a sense of inner realignment. Among this beauty was a much needed reminder of a little bit of everything.

The picture says it all! We also had snow this week in the Netherlands.. makes lovely pictures!
Ahhh… sometimes we need that reminder. It’s so easy to get caught up in life. I know I’ve been really caught up lately.

Oh wow! That’s so beautiful! I’ve always wanted to see snow. I live in California now and the chances of me coming in contact with snow is pretty slim.
The one thing I line about this country : awesome scenery that makes for awesome pictures.
