I haven’t shot film since high school/my early college years, so I thought I’d get back into it for a while. Here are some of my favorite shots taken in L.A. (using a Holga) just before I came home.

wow…film has such a different quality to it, sort of a softer focus. I was talking to a cousin at a wedding recently, and we were commenting on how many pictures everyone was taking. it seems that with the digital camera, because you can just delete the ones you don’t like, people take dozens without worrying about composition the way they used to do with film.

Hi, Great shots here! I agree with the previous comment that these days in the age of megapixels we often forget about things like composition and most importantly having fun! Just to let you know we are currently progressing with the construction of the HolgaDirect website and are hoping to get it live within the next month. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive resource and shop for Holga related photography and cameras. For now you can follow our progress on Twitter or Sign up on the website. (Details Below)

“Man in the early times was almost naked, and as his intellect evolved he started wearing clothes. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
