How I left it

I took this picture last night while lying in my bed. From the ceiling stars to my Audrey Hepburn clock, everything in my room is exactly how I left it. It’s that kind of familiarity that makes my heart feel content during these short trips home.

I also left my room like it was the day I got married. My mom tried to clean it up en sort my things out. But my shelf is still full with my studybooks and on my whiteboard are still my notes to myself written.

My whiteboars gives me a nostalgic mood.. its like time stood still the moment i got married..

You guys are so lucky. I moved from my bedroom in Lahore, Pakistan to my brother’s tiny apartment in NYC and from there to a living room in their Long Island home. My home in Pakistan got rented out and renuvated.
I have no memories left behind =(

It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
