A Short Break

I’m in the midst of one of the busiest weeks I’ve had in a long time with nearly a dozen projects moving along more slowly than I expected, and deadlines coming up faster than I anticipated. The sheer thought of everything I have left to digest on my already overloaded plate feels like it’s Thanksgiving all over again; I’ve eaten more than my weight’s worth of food, and I could projectile vomit at any moment.
The bad news is, if I hurl now, it won’t taste like sweet cinnamon rolls.

I decided to take a short break from all the work I have to do (translation: took a trip to the bathroom) and that’s when I noticed this.

Of all the things you can do with a Q-tip, who knew that you could also give a baby a comb over. The creative genius of human kind never ceases to amaze me.

“Man in the early times was almost naked, and as his intellect evolved he started wearing clothes. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
