Big Brother, Little Brother

-Little Brother, 2 sits in stroller. Watches his Big Brother, 8.
-Little brother smiles at Big Brother.
-Big Brother’s eyes are glued to the TV on the wall set to CNN.
-Little Brother giggles, and Big Brother looks down.
-Big brother smiles at Little Brother. It’s heartfelt, genuine.
-Little Brother holds tight to the pacifier in his teeth, and taps on stroller’s food tray.
-Big Brother understands the wordless gesture. Unhooks tray, allowing Little Brother to get out of stroller.
-Little Brother starts to get up, but stroller rolls back. Extends hand for help.
-Big Brother reaches for Little Brother’s hand, and holds it steady. Uses other hand to hold stroller firmly in place.
-Little Brother climbs out of stroller, and looks at Big Brother with love-filled eyes.
-Big Brother reaches out his hand, and runs it gently over Little Brother’s head.
-Little Brother understands Big Brother’s wordless gesture, and smiles. Puts hand on Big Brother’s knee.
-They share an untainted love.
-I hope it lasts forever.

AWWW, this post reminds me of my nephew who JUST LEFT TODAY to go back to Virginia with my sister and her husband.
He’s only 18 months old right now but he already has so many gestures. He is so cute.
I miss him.
Mashallah, this is so adorable!! I love relationships between older siblings and younger siblings, especially ones with that big of an age difference. Inshallah it lasts forever!
