New Year’s Eve With ‘The Answer’

The Boss and I went to a Clippers game at the Staples Center last night, but we didn’t go there to see the home team. We went there to cheer for and watch Allen Iverson play. Oh look! There he is!
Hey, Allen! Over here! When I was in 9th grade, I had a book covers with your picture on all my text books!
The Boss, and a group of his co-workers play basketball with Eric Gordon once a week, but that didn’t stop The Boss from wearing AI’s rookie-year jersey. We did however cheer for the Clippers from time to time because we believe in good sportsmanship.
Unless the Lakers are playing. Then you cheer for the other team at your own risk. One time I was cheering for the Celtics when they were playing the Lakers, and The Boss was like, “You can’t do that” and I was like, “I’m my own person, I make my own decisions” and then later I cheered for the Celtics again, and The Boss was like, “Did you make your own decision yet?” and I was like, “I’m still trying to figure out who I like,” and he goes, “THE LAKERS! WE LIKE THE LAKERS!” and I was like, “If you pressure me into choosing a team based on your own personal bias, the likelihood of me NEVER cheering for the Lakers increases.”
He thought about that.
Eventually, I became a Lakers fan.
See, patience is a virtue, My Little Honey Bunny.
Unfortunately, the Sixers lost.
But fortunately, this happened.
I’m pretty sure the kid was totally traumatized after feeling like a stadium full of people were laughing at him and not with him, but hey, at least he won a T-shirt. And he can totally wear it to the therapy sessions he’ll be attending through his adult life.

Haha the poor kid looks traumatized in the end!
lol. My hubs has a ‘man-crush’ on Iverson. His idea of a good night would be to walk in to a lakers stronghold and scream “KOBE SUCKS! HE IS OVER RATED!”. The badass that he is. As you can tell he hates the lakers with a passion. I asked him what he would do if Iverson gets traded to the Lakers and he looked devastated and wouldn’t even consider the option. Naturally I haven’t dropped it.
Btw we were watching that SAME game yesterday.
OMG I used to LOVE Iverson back in the day. I still have a bunch of his jerseys. =D
Whoa.
Sixers fan and a Fakers… I mean Lakers fan?
That’s an oxymoron.
haha. i had a friend that was obsessed with iverson. for some reason i thought he retired. lol
and that is so mean what the ppl did. lol
My husband now likes the NY Jets (football) because his dad did the same thing to him that The Boss tried to do to you (“No! We like the 49ers! Not the Jets!”)
Also, that kid is the opposite of Tiger Woods Girl!
