Does this mean professional psychological help or like a support system or group? Just wanted to check.

Some people don’t have a clue that they are indeed Alcoholics or that they have a drinking problem. I can’t see them just willing their problem to go away. Albeit with Allah ALL things are possible. Most people have to really come to a place of brokenness before they realize that yes, they do have a problem with alcohol. When they do come to this conclusion and IF they want help then it’s not an overnight deal. They have to be in a program whether it’s something like AA or a faith based program. The bottom line is they need to acknowledge they have a problem first or it’s pointless!

Hi Shawna. That answer refers to professional help, but could include a support group as well.

“Man in the early times was almost naked, and as his intellect evolved he started wearing clothes. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
