Set of Two Thirsty Mugs

I got these mugs for The Boss and me from one of the elementary school students I used to volunteer with back home. Remember those catalogs with all those chocolate turtles, and gift wrap that you used to try and sell to your neighbors? Well, when this little girl brought her catalog to me in hopes that I would buy something, I was all, “Dude, I don’t need to eat any more chocolate than I already do, and I don’t celebrate Christmas” but then she was all, “Come on! Please buy something. The person who sells the most stuff gets an iPod, and all the money goes to the school.”

Just as I was about to give her a little lesson in life, and percentages, I thought about my neighbor, Emma. She was like the Mother Hen in our neighborhood when I was growing up, and no matter how many times all of us little neighborhood rug rats went knocking on her door to sell something, she always, always obliged. At this point, I’m pretty sure Emma has enough gift wrap for a lifetime.

Moral of the Story, Kids: WWED. Ask yourself that the next time you don’t want to give back to the children.
