This is What Happens When You Try to Give A Bride Advice

On the phone with my sister, while looking at her bridal registry.

Me: Oh my God. Do NOT get that Brita water filter.

Uzma: Why?

Me: Because we have it, and we hate it.

Uzma: What’s wrong with it?

Me: It has this really weird spout that pours down instead of out like in an arch, and it always spills everywhere. And the lid is so hard to close, it always gets stuck, and it’s so annoying. Seriously don’t get it.

Uzma: Hmm…

Uzma: Does [The Boss] have this problem, too,  or is it just you?

Me: What?

Uzma: I mean, are you the only one that has trouble with it?

Me: What are you trying to say? Yes, we both have trouble with it, it sucks! Look, I’m just trying to give you advice based on my experience, if you’re not willing to take it, then fine.

Uzma: Hmm…

Me: Okay, okay, FINE. I’m the only one that has trouble with it. But it’s designed all stupid, and it sucks, and you shouldn’t get it. In fact, I’m so mad at Brita for making something so dumb, I’m going to blog about it.

Uzma: But maybe no one else has a problem with it except for you.

Me: Yeah right! I bet EVERYONE that owns that thing thinks it sucks…

Me: Oh. Oops. It’s not even the same filter. Yeah, maybe you should get that one. It looks pretty nice.

P.S. I can’t help that I’m so passionate about everyday household items, People.
P.P.S. I’m just trying to make the world an easier place to live, one life at a time.
P.P.P.S. I’m still mad at Brita.
P.P.P.P.S. I’m definitely NOT getting my sister that water filter for her wedding. Well, I might.

we have the Pur one that go directly on the faucet because i can’t handle the pitcher either.

it’s too much responsibility to remember to fill the dang thing and i, a capable individual as yourself, have trouble with the angle of the pour spout too.

Oh… I was considering getting a filter. Guess I’m not going to get Brita.Hmm, then agian maybe I’ll try it out. I don’t mind if the water doesn’t come out as an arch. I DO mind if is splatters everywere. Maybe I won’t have the problem ; you’re husband had no problems, lol. Ask your husband how he does it and maybe you will be able to operate it properly.

So she was implying that you were somehow inept at pouring water?

Hi Mona. I think that’s EXACTLY what she’s saying! Haha:) Too bad she doesn’t have a blog otherwise we could all leave her mean comments defending my inability to pour water from a filter. But seriously, there really is something wrong with it!
