I started using Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray about two years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. From styling my hair in loose waves, to a tighly bound up-do, this stuff seriously adjusts to the look you’re trying to achieve. Its hold is super strong, yet so unbelievably light weight, it’s almost magical. And the best part about it is that it doesn’t flake. I once went to bed with a head of curls, and woke up the next morning without a single piece of white hairspray crust in my hair or on my pillows. How’s that for magic!

Hey Sabrina…so as I’ve told you, I wear hijab… But don’t ever do anything with my hair anymore!! I mean, it’s way healthier because of it and all but I was wondering how you keep your styled hair from getting all “hijab” hair ya know like hat hair?? Do you just style it on the days you aren’t going out or is there a trick?… i know these are personal questions but I don’t have many muslim friends and I’ve only been at this for a year and i’m really curious : ) thanks so much I think the site is GREAT by the way!!!

Hi Jessica. I wish I could say that I take my hijab off at the end of the day, shake out my locks and look like a superstar, but that’s not the case. I usually do my hair for events/parties where I know there are only women, or at home for The Boss, and often just for myself. The trick I’ve found to better hair after you take your hijab off is not to put it up when it’s soaking wet. Aside from that not being good for your hair (because it breaks more easily) or health (headaches, and neck pain) it gives you super flat hair. Try putting your hair up when it’s damp (if you absolutely must have wet hair to tie your hijab) an when you take it off, run your fingers through it, and shake it out. Hitting it with a blow dryer with your head flipped upside down helps too. Also, a dab of this stuff (http://sliceoflemon.com/love-style/2009/01/08/feels-like-silk/) always helps!
