His and Hers Nostalgia

Before The Boss and I got married, we decided that each of us would buy a new fragrance that we’d never worn before, and use it during the weeks leading up to our wedding, on our wedding day, and then on our honeymoon — after that, we only used them as decorative pieces. We did this so we’d be able to recall all those beautiful moments that the human sense of smell has the power to recreate. I’m taking these bottles to L.A. with me, and yesterday, right before I was about to pack them, I closed my eyes and took a whiff of my perfume. The memories were so unbelievably vivid, I swear I felt a Caribbean breeze glide through my room, and sand between my toes.

Our choices:

Adventure by Davidoff and Stella by Stella McCartney.

Hey Sabrin! Thats what we did! My hubby says he could never forget that scent and it really does ‘take him back’….he got me a new bottle when I had used up the first.

Human’s sense of smell really is amazing…my sister says that whenever she takes a whiff of the perfume she wore on her wedding night it brings back all the *ahem* memories!

Awww this is kinda spooky, because The Hubby and i did the same thing. Only in our case i had to force the poor guy into doing this. But he does thank me for it now. Our special fragrances were Burberry Tender touch for me and Lacoste Red for him. Just reading this post of your reminded me of them and i took them out of the draw to smell them and i can swear that for a moment it felt like i was back on my wedding day. :)
In case you get freaked out as to why i’m reading your old posts and leaving comments, well i only came across it a few days ago and i’m hooked so i’m reading all your old posts…

I’m not the looney stalker type, i promise, btw what did you say yous address was???
    lol
