A quick summary of my day:

-While walking home from the grocery store, I see a woman walking toward me with her baby in a stroller. I smile and say ‘hi,’ and she sort of smiles, and then gets this weird disgusted look on her face. A moment later I feel something tickle my forehead, and as I scratch my face, I knock off a HUGE beetle that was sitting right between my eyes.
I cringed all the way home. I might have dry-heaved, too.

-The sidebar of this site decided to jump ship and find a new abode at the very bottom of page — smack dab in the middle of nowhere, refusing to come back to where it belongs or accept any edits. When I realized I couldn’t fix it, I called my Web hosting company and our conversation went something like this:

Me: I’ve tried pretty much everything, and I don’t see any missing tags. In fact, I haven’t even made any changes recently so it’s weird that this would happen.

Guy: Sure let me take a look.

Guy: OHH!!!

Me: You got it?!?!?

Guy: No.

-After admiring my new cell phone, I gently tucked it in my pocket, and went to check the mail. I hadn’t taken two steps when I heard something hit the pavement. I turned to see that my new phone now has a new scratch.

-While walking passed a local park, I get a text message from The Boss. In my excitement, I grab my phone and start texting him back. Within moments, I trip over part of the sidewalk and narrowly miss landing in dog poo.

-While still getting used to the new ring tones on my phone, I didn’t hear/recognize my alarm clock this morning and overslept, missing Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market. Bummer.

Well, that’s all in the past. Now I’m going to go downstairs and forget all my troubles by enjoying a nice bowl of Special K.
I love that cereal.

Update:
We’re out of Special K.

“Man in the early times was almost naked, and as his intellect evolved he started wearing clothes. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
