The World Is Running Amuck!

Okay, first, as a former collegiate athlete, I know that checking your stats is obnoxious, and annoying for the people that know you’re doing it.
You know who you are, and no one likes you.
The reason I started this blog was because I wanted a creative outlet, and I found a space for my voice and ideas on the Web.
In the beginning, I pretty much knew all the people that were going to read me — family, friends, and the people that my family and friends told.
But within a few weeks, Slice of Lemon’s reader base went international, and then I couldn’t help but mozy on over to my stat page.
I don’t check this blog’s numbers to stroke my ego, but because I think it’s totally awesome that I have page views coming from South Korea.
Like, really? People are reading me in South Korea?
Kamsamnida, South Korea!
(Save yourself the Google time. It means ‘thank you.’)
Every month, when I check these worldwide numbers, I’m excited to see all the new places people have popped in from. But most recently I was a little shocked at what I saw.
Good news is, the Americans love me. The good old U. S. of A is still in the lead, sitting pretty at First Place for visiting this site most often. But I was totally baffled when I found that Canada has knocked the Number Two Great Britain into Third Place!
What’s up, UK? You’ve been heavy on America’s heels since I started blogging, and now, dare I say…Third Is the One With the Hairy Chest!
Or is it Treasure Chest?
We’ve got India coming in at Number Four (Jai Ho!) and France rounds out the Top Five.
At the end of the day I know that stats don’t really matter. What matters is that you guys care to stop by, and I’m totally honored to have such an intensely diverse audience.
So, thank you.
Now let’s all share a collective “AWW,” and end this post with a virtual hug.
