WHISPER-21 MATTE

whisper eyeshadow

I often get asked what kind of eye shadow I wear, and I’ve mentioned before that when it comes to make up, I don’t like change. Over the years, I’ve had to tweak the products I buy — mostly because manufacturers discontinue all the stuff I love, but the general color pallete I put on my face hasn’t really changed. I was using a great eyeshadow by Maybelline for years, which was discontinued very soon after I bought it, but I recently found a similar shade by Sonia Kashuk at Target. I don’t mind matte eyeshadow because my setting powder and eyeliner add a little bit of shimmer. And since I’m not trying to look all Cirque du Soleil up in here, this shade is a great alternative to a colored lid.

HAHAHAH not trying to look all Cirque de Soleil. Very nice.

My makeup is so boring. It’s been the same for years and years and years and years.

    Seriously.

Has anyone tried Carmindy’s makeup? She has a line with Sally Hansen called “Inspired by Carmindy”, I like in Canada so am hoping it’s available here. Carmindy is the makeup artist on TLC’s “What Not to Wear”.

Saadia, I can’t remember the exact price, but I think it was around $10.
Fatema, I didn’t know Carmindy had her own line — I love the way she does her makeup! Thanks for the tip, I’ll keep my eyes open for her stuff:)
Uzma, thanks for the idea — maybe The Closet will dabble in that area soon:)

What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
