Holy Moly, What a Week

Earlier this week, I briefly mentioned that The Boss and I both had really busy weeks ahead of us – and the fact that I posted a regular post on Thursday, instead of my standard “Fall in Love” post is further proof that my mind and body have been moving in a completely different direction from the rest of the universe.
And I hate when that happens.
World, I have big news – The Boss and I are moving to L.A.
Yup, you read correct – Sunny California, HERE WE COME!
The Boss is actually leaving tomorrow for a six-week training program with his company, and I’m going to fly out on May 2. In the mean time, I’ll be around here – packing, and blogging, and hanging out with my family.
I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, it’s just we had to talk to our family and close friends first. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel close to you, Readers, it’s just that I don’t think my parents would have been thrilled if they found out I was moving to the other side of the country through my Web site.
But now that you know, won’t you help me with the countdown? If you look over to the right of your screen, there is a countdown calendar with the days left until I move to California – since there is so much to do before I leave, I figured this will help ensure I don’t miss my flight.
In the midst of our moving preparations, last weekend, we headed north to New England to visit The Boss’s family, then came home to spend the week gathering boxes, and packing tape, and bubble wrap and doing our taxes.
And the weekend ended with what seemed to be like one long episode of The Closet on crack.
Since I’ll be leaving in a few weeks, we were on a major time crunch to film this weekend – and it was chaotic – always the fun kind of chaotic – but nonetheless, chaos ensued.
Speaking of The Closet, I’m going to miss all the people I’ve been working with so closely for the past few months, but I’m excited to get out to L.A. and meet new people who can join me on this project.
I’m thinking Slice of Lemon.com should hit up Craig’s List – what do you think?
As if the week wasn’t busy enough, my computer crashed. The computer place said it’ll take about a week to fix, and Good God I swear, it’s like having to learn how to live all over again!
Since The Boss is leaving in less than 24 hours, I only have his computer for a little while longer. Not that I mind though, the damn “delete” key is so small, every time I reach for it, I press “end” and then start typing in the wrong place.
Since tomorrow marks the first day of many days before I see The Boss again, last night, we had a nice quiet dinner at home. And tonight we’ll continue with our weekly tradition of Sunday dinner at my mom’s house.
He hasn’t said it yet, but I can see it in his eyes that he’s really going to miss everyone here.
And I will too, but at least I still have a few weeks to make the most of my time with the people I love.

If people hear you say that they’ll know you’re an outsider lol
But I wish you both the best
Mind you that ‘Sunny California’ isn’t sunny at the moment. But by the time you arrive, it should be.
And hey you’ll be living in the home of the lakers! Land of Smog and Disneyland(well close enough anyway) =D That will be much more exciting then Silicon Valley, where I happen to dwell.
Insha’allah it’ll all work out

Congrats on the move Sabrina! Wish you all the best in the sunshine state and hope your new move works out!
Yay more Closet videos!
Oh, wow! Congrats!
Good luck with packing!
congrats on the move!! you’ll love cali! where?
I bet the boss chose to get a job there just so he could comfortably live as a Lakers fan!!! BTW, i’ve heard the first comment before, but i was born and raised in california (born in LA, raised in SD, schooled in SF), and we definitely say cali, but maybe it’s more of a hood thing…in any case, sounds like an exciting new chapter…
Yay! And yes, we do say Cali!
Congrats on the move! Cali is beautiful!
can’t wait to visit.
o.o
Then it must be different in NorCal, but hey doesn’t matter what we say congrats again!
All the best in cali.
I’ve met a girl who just moved to London from LA and she’s missing it so much. Enjoy!!
