It’s Like the Elephant in a Room Called America

World, it’s been two months since President Barack Obama took office, and I want to know why there are still major U.S. media outlets, and international news journalists that refuse to call him “President Obama.”
I’ve heard “Mr. Obama,” and “Mr. President,” and “The President,” and yeah, I have heard President Obama, too — but I’ve also heard reports that some major networks have said that they will specifically refer to him as Mr. Obama during his term.
And I’m a little shocked. And disappointed.
What do you guys think?
If you’re an American, I want to know if you’ve noticed. I also want to know what you think.
(I’d like your feedback even if you didn’t vote for Obama, because that’s not really what this is about.)
If you’re reading me overseas, I’d like to know how your news media refers to our new leader, and what your thoughts are. If you’d like to delve a little further into it, feel free to share the mood of your country, as related to Americans and our country as a whole, as of late.
Do share your thoughts. I’m quite interested to hear what you have to say.

Well us Brits are still respectful, we’re calling him President Obama and he’s going to meet the Queen!

Great job huh?!
I’d like to know WHICH media outlets exactly are doing that! A lil name and shame is deserved here…
I have not noticed. I’m going to pay special attention now.
I haven’t noticed it either. Will definitely watch out for it now.
We call him President Obama over here.
But really, the news doesn’t really like to talk about him. Democracy and all. You know how it is.
It’s President Obama over in Singapore, though some columns just just Obama. Hmmm.
