A Do-It-Yourself Restaurant Guide

IT’S LIKE A SELF-HELP BOOK, ONLY BETTER

I picked up this book from a women’s clothing store at the mall, for which I think I paid $12, but it’s retailing on Amazon for about $9, which sucks for me, but is good for all of you who’d like to buy it.

(Hey, three extra dollars is like a new deodorant. And since I often think showering is a waste of time, it’s good to have an extra Speed Stick around.)
(Well, I actually use Dove, but that’s besides the point. I think “speed stick” really delivered the joke better.)

The Boss and I LOVE this book. Ever since we got married, we’ve been writing down all the restaurants we’ve been to, and rating them with the guide inside. We include chain restaurants we’ve visited, hole-in-the wall places around town, five-star restaurants we’ve eaten at; the book even includes special sections for “Carry Out,” and “Out-of-Town Restaurants.”

Eating out with your honey is always a good time, but then getting a chance to rate the place together really adds something special to the end of a great meal. (Or a crap meal if you ate Spanish tapas in D.C., and found a cockroach in your water.)

I think the book is a GREAT thing to do with your hubby after a meal. I dunno if my man would take time out to do it though, lol I’m thinking of keeping it as a gift for his birthday, however =) THanks for the idea!!
I was wondering, being that you create outfits and such on The Closet, would you be able to give me some ideas on organizing my scarves? I have oblong and triangles and pashminas, diff styles and diff lengths. My problem is i dont have much room to hang them up because theyre are SO many, and i mean SO MANY. I have a lot of space on top however, it just seems like a real “b” to have to climb up there to get a scarf.. lol I’d appreciate anyyy help. thanks a lot !!!

My boyfriend loves eating really weird things, and by that I mean like scorpions and cow tendons. I don’t think this would work out for us. But good for you!

If you’re into keeping track of stuff, I’ve seen others just like that for books, music and movies! Who am I kidding…I have the book and music one. I love lists!

“Man in the early times was almost naked, and as his intellect evolved he started wearing clothes. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is regressive back to ancient times” - Nobel laureate, Tawakul Karman, in response to journalists who said her hijab was not proportionate with her level of intellect and education.
